Inventor Dale Koski had a bad cold. He was feeling really ill and popping licorice lozenges. His wife Solita offered to make him some orange juice and lemon like her mom used to make. He drank the combo with the lozenges. He LOVED the taste - and Koski Best was born.
Savoring the licorice lemon-orange flavors, he knew this refreshing combination had potential and he began experimenting with other flavors.
They found that lemons, oranges, and limes were great with the licorice.
Then they tried the minty flavors - mint, spearmint, peppermint and vanilla with the mints too.
They then learned the history of the licorice plant and began formulating a licorice root derivative to use as a base for this beverages.
